Three people were injured in a helicopter accident in Garfield County on Saturday afternoon.
It is unclear what caused the accident, Lammer Clay County Garfield County said, but Witnesses said the helicopter was shaking violently as it descended towards the farm along the Highway 200 about 40 miles west of Jordan, where he was landing.
A male passenger had minor injuries, although the male and female passenger had significant injuries, Lammers said. The three were taken to St Vincent Healthcare in Billions. The wreck occurred at about 2:30 p.m.
The helicopter was owned by a Hamilton based company working for the Land Management Bureau in the 2017 Lodgepole Ship Complex area.
Wreck of craft will remain in place until federal investigators give their investigation of the accident to a conclusion, he said. There was no one from the Federal Aviation Administration or the National Transport Safety Board on-site Saturday.
