Hinet, a leading hydrogen platform company, revealed a remarkable 68% surge in cumulative hydrogen sales for the period of January to August this year compared to the same period in the previous year. The sales volume reached an impressive 917 tonnes.

With sales at seven charging stations more than doubling compared to last year, most hydrogen charging stations experienced an increase of at least 1.5 times. Notably, sales reached a record high of 140 tonnes in August, the highest figure of the year.

In addition to accommodating hydrogen passenger cars, Hinet’s hydrogen charging stations also cater to hydrogen commercial vehicles. Several hydrogen charging stations underwent expansion construction in the latter half of last year and are now operating with two distributors.

Hinet, established in 2019 with the primary goal of promoting the development of hydrogen charging infrastructure for domestic mobility, currently holds approximately 20% of the domestic hydrogen charging station market share. The company aims to solidify its market position with the completion and operation of 35 additional hydrogen charging stations, bringing the total count to 86.

Aligning its strategy with the government’s ambitious “World’s Number 1 Hydrogen Industry Development Strategy,” Hinet plans to revamp its business area by constructing a large-capacity hydrogen charging station capable of accommodating commercial vehicles such as hydrogen buses and trucks.

In its commitment to enhancing the hydrogen charging infrastructure, Hinet continues to invest in building efficient charging facilities. Besides focusing on infrastructure development, the company has also established a hydrogen shipping center in Songsan-myeon, Dangjin-si, in order to ensure a seamless supply of hydrogen for charging stations across the central region.

A representative from Hinet asserted, “We strive to be at the forefront of the domestic hydrogen charging infrastructure market,” and further mentioned, “To establish a sustainable profit model for our hydrogen charging station business, we will explore opportunities such as transforming existing gas stations into liquefied charging stations and tapping into emerging sources of demand like hydrogen taxis.”

Sales at 7 charging stations more than doubled compared to the same period last year. Sales at most hydrogen charging stations increased by more than 1.5 times compared to last year. Last August, 140 tonnes were sold, the highest figure this year.

The Hinet Hydrogen Charging Station charges not only hydrogen passenger cars but also hydrogen commercial vehicles, and some hydrogen charging stations completed expansion construction in the second half of last year and are now operating with two distributors.

Hynet is a specialized hydrogen platform company leading the hydrogen charging infrastructure market since it was founded in 2019 with the purpose of promoting the construction of hydrogen charging infrastructure for domestic mobility. On the 1st, a total of 53 hydrogen charging stations opened , including a commercial operating the Haeundae hydrogen charging station in Busan.

This is around 20% of the domestic hydrogen charging station market share. Hynet intends to complete the construction of 35 additional hydrogen charging stations and operate 86 hydrogen charging stations.

Hynet continues to invest in the regeneration of hydrogen charging infrastructure. In addition to investing in building infrastructure to ensure charging efficiency, we have completed investments in smooth hydrogen supply and currently operate a hydrogen shipping center directly in Songsan-myeon, Dangjin-si and supply hydrogen to hydrogen charging stations in the central region.

In line with the government’s ‘World’s Number 1 Hydrogen Industry Development Strategy’ policy, we intend to reorganize our business area by building a large capacity hydrogen charging station that can also charge commercial vehicles such as hydrogen buses and trucks.

A Hinet official said, “We will lead the domestic hydrogen charging infrastructure market,” and added, “In order to create a profit model for the hydrogen charging station business in the future, we will work to improve the existing gas charging stations into liquefied charging stations and new discovery. sources of demand such as hydrogen taxis.”
