Mr. Hiroyuki, who is currently on a big break all over Japan.
In his masterpiece “1% Effort”, he delves deeply into the “root of thinking” and seriously talks about the origin of thinking. In this article, I asked Hiroyuki a question that was even more interesting. (Composition: Ken Taneoka)

“The words of the curse” that I thought was good

Various words are flying around in the world. Some words make life better, others make it worse.

Among them, the one that is particularly bad is the phrase, “I think it’s good, but it stops the growth of that person.”

That would be a “curse word” for him. This is because it puts a brake on you when you judge and act with your own mind.

So what kind of word is a “curse”? Let’s look at one of the representatives.

Everyone is giving up something

It is said that it is important not to give up in life.

Is that true? If I continue studying without giving up, will everyone be accepted by the University of Tokyo? If I continue to polish myself without giving up, will everyone be in Johnny’s?

That’s not true.

In life, it’s important to keep doing something and at the same time give up something. Rather, it may be more important to give up.

People who continue to work hard in sports and study are often cited as successful examples, but they also give up.

“I gave up everything else and focused on table tennis.”
“I gave up on games and manga and focused on studying.”

And giving up is a set. Even so, I’m just looking at “what I did”.

What is a cursed word?

There are times when it is not suitable for the world. Rather, it’s just not suitable.

It’s important to give up on things that aren’t right for you and move on to something else.

However, there are words that stop such behavior. that is,

“you can do it if you try”

Is the word.

This is a word used to keep you doing what you don’t want to do. In the first place, it would be nice if you could say “I’m doing it because I want to do it, but there are some difficult situations … So I’ll do it until I can.”

However, I think it’s a very cruel word to say “I can do it” to others. Because it may be suitable for other things, and I think it’s better not to keep doing it.

That’s why I say, “Well, I can’t help it, so what else should I do?” Those who have great success will not bend their beliefs when they are told, and those who cannot succeed should definitely put their efforts into other things.

So, I think it’s better to eliminate the word “you can do it” from some successful people and irresponsible others. You just have to do your best.
