Okinawa, Japan – In the early hours of September 16, a hit-and-run incident shook Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture, leaving three individuals injured. The suspect responsible for the incident remains at large as a US military vehicle was left behind at the scene of the accident.

Local authorities reported that at around 3 o’clock in the morning, a light car was rear-ended, causing a man in the vehicle to sustain a broken waist, while two women suffered injuries to their waists. A Y-plate vehicle used by US military personnel was discovered near the accident site, displaying clear rear end marks on its front.

Further investigation revealed that the US military vehicle had been tracked by a patrol car, indicating possible speeding prior to the crash. Police have concluded that the driver may have accelerated in an attempt to evade the authorities, ultimately resulting in the rear-end collision. The current focus of the investigation is the whereabouts of the driver involved in the accident.

The incident has raised concerns among local residents regarding the safety and accountability of US military personnel stationed in Okinawa. Authorities are working diligently to bring justice to the victims and ensure such incidents are properly addressed.
