On January 26, local time, Apple began distributing the latest firmware update, Software Version 15.3, for the HomePod and HomePod mini.
According to the release notes, “Software Version 15.3” includes performance and stability improvements, as well as voice identification of up to 6 users in English (India) and Italian.

Software version 15.3 adds Siri voice identification for up to 6 users per home in English (India) and Italian (Italy). This update also includes performance and stability improvements.
The HomePod is automatically updated to the latest firmware, so if you’re not in a hurry, you don’t have to manually update it, but you can update it as soon as you open the Home app. If you want to use the latest firmware as soon as possible, update from the Home app.
