People’s Power Rep. Hong Jun-pyo accepted the position of permanent advisor to the presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol, the Election Countermeasures Headquarters, and declared ‘one team’.
Rep. Hong announced on his Facebook on the 29th, “I accept the position of permanent advisor to the National Election Commission (Election Countermeasures Headquarters), which I promised to participate in my last meeting with Candidate Yoon Seok-yeol for the cause of regime change.”
He said, “I will actively respond to the presidential advice requested by Candidate Yoon so that the ruthless regime does not continue to dominate the Republic of Korea.”
Rep. Hong added, “I would like to thank Rep. Lee Cheol-gyu from the candidate’s side and Director Ahn Byung-yong from our side for working-level discussions to resolve misunderstandings.”
In addition, through the online community ‘Youth’s Dream’ that he opened, he said, “We have decided to accept the position of a standing advisor, whose participation has been withheld due to mutual misunderstanding.”
Rep. Hong said, “It is a pity that the country is divided in two and the reality is that only camp logic is running. After the election, we will try to become a unified Korea, and try to usher in an era of developed countries that give dreams and hopes to young people and stability and happiness to the elderly. I will,” he said.
Previously, Candidate Yoon and Rep. Hong discussed Rep. Hong’s participation in the predecessor’s headquarters at a dinner meeting on the 19th, but immediately after the dinner, Rep. Hong’s ‘request for nomination’ was revealed.
However, on the 27th, Rep. Hong posted an article titled ‘和而不同’ (Hwayibu-dong) in the dream of youth, suggesting that Hong’s participation in the predecessor headquarters was imminent.
