Thiruvananthapuram: A member of the Women’s Commission, Adv. Shahida Kamal informed. The Women’s Commission had intervened for the treatment of Mithun, who is undergoing treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. Mithun’s wife Deepti had requested the Women’s Commission to help with the treatment. This was followed by intervention. Shahida Kamal had visited Deepti at her house under jail and offered all possible help.

It is learned that the police have done all they could to help the accused in the scandalous attack in Thiruvananthapuram. On the 31st of last month, the Danish sister Deepti and her husband Mithun were strategically summoned. He was taken home from the church and brutally beaten. Upon learning of the violence, the police reached Beach Road under Chirayin where the incident took place. After asking the neighbors for information, he went to the Danish residence and inquired about the matter and returned.

It was this indifference shown by the police without realizing the seriousness of the incident that gave Danish a chance to escape. Chirayankeezhu SHO told Asianet News that there was no complaint as to why he was not taken into custody at the time. The next day after Mithun was admitted to the hospital, Deepti and her family lodged a written complaint with the police against Danish. I.e. on November 1st. The Danish were still in Thiruvananthapuram.

The police who registered the case at that time were still not ready to take a statement or take him into custody. Yesterday, the Danish drowned after learning that he was holding a press conference at the press club under Deepti Chirayin. The phone was also switched off. He is currently in Tamil Nadu. The investigation was handed over to the Attingal DySP following a fallout from the part of the local police.
