Huneed, GA-ASI and MOU global parts supply chain cooperation

[팍스넷뉴스 강동원 기자] Huneed Technologies (Huneed) and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) will strengthen the aviation parts supply business.

Huneed announced on the 22nd that he had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GA-ASI to strengthen cooperation in the global UAV field. The signing ceremony held at the Korea Defense Industry Exhibition (DX-KOREA) was attended by major officials including Kim Wang-kyung, head of Huneed’s business, and Ken Loving, vice president of GA-ASI.

There are plans to expand the supply of flight parts applied to the GA-ASI unmanned aerial vehicle platform through this Memorandum of Understanding. Huneed joined GA-ASI’s global supply chain in February and was supplying parts. GA-ASI is considered a leader in the military unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) industry.

It seems that Huneed’s technological prowess has become the stepping stone for signing this agreement. Huneed was selected as the final supplier of electrical and electronic systems for Boeing’s F-15 fighter jets in 2017. In 2020, it was also designated as an Airbus Airlines partner. Thanks to this, last year’s combined sales and operating profit were 227.7 billion won and 13.2 billion won, up 13% and 20% from the previous year. Net profit more than doubled from 6.3 billion won to 13 billion won.

“Collaborating with GA-ASI, a global unmanned aerial vehicle system leader, is a very important and valuable opportunity for Huneed, which is being reborn as a company specializing in aviation parts,” said Kim.I will doing my best to make it happen,” he said.
