[국민투데이 강대학 기자] The starting roster of the men’s U-23 national team to play against the Philippines has been announced.
The men’s U-23 national team, led by coach Hwang Seon-hong, will play the first leg of the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifier on the 25th at 6 pm (Korean time). Korea is in Group H of the preliminary round and will face East Timor on the 28th and Singapore on the 31st.
Manager Hwang Seon-hong will put Chan Kim as the front-line striker against the Philippines, the first official game since taking office. On both sides are Choi Geon-joo and Jo Sang-jun, while Koo Bon-cheol, Ko Jae-hyun, and Kwon Hyuk-gyu are in the midfield. Kyu-hyuk Lee, Joo-seong Kim, Sang-min Lee, and Jun Choi are the backers, and Gwang-yeon Lee is the goalkeeper.
The preliminaries are divided into 11 groups, and the top 4 teams from the first and second place teams in each group advance to the finals. The 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup final will be held in Uzbekistan in June next year.
