Hyoyeon posted a picture of her hanbok, but then went viral in China… Close the comment box

SNSD member Hyoyeon was attacked by malicious comments from Chinese netizens.

Hyoyeon recently posted a picture on her Instagram with the caption, “Korean hanbok is beautiful.” In the photo, Hyoyeon danced a fan dance wearing a black hanbok made of see-through material.

Chinese netizens who saw this posted malicious comments such as swear words in Chinese and emoticons reminiscent of vomiting. In the end, Hyoyeon closed her Instagram comment window.

At the opening ceremony of the ‘2022 Beijing Winter Olympics’ on the 4th, a woman wearing a hanbok as a representative of 56 ethnic minorities in China appeared.

Criticism has been raised that China is comparing the Hanbok process to the ‘Northeast Process’ that distorts Korea’s history and culture. Afterwards, Suga from BTS, Hyoyeon from Girls’ Generation, and Jonghyuk Lee posted photos of Hanbok on social media one after another.

Hyoyeon recently joined SM Entertainment’s project unit GOT the beat and released ‘Step Back’.
