Hyundai Card unveils ‘Inplecar Hyundai Card’, a card for 20 million influencers

On the 11th, Hyundai Card unveiled the first influencer card in Korea, ‘Hyundai Inplaycar Card’, which provides cashback according to social media activities.

In June, Hyundai Card addressed the possibility of business expansion through influencer marketing and participated as a strategic investor in ‘MARKETIT’, an influencer marketing platform. Additionally, through the partnership with Marketit, we decided to build a new ecosystem where credit card users and affiliate merchants can win-win based on influencer marketing.

Currently, there are approximately 150,000 influencers active in the domestic marketing market, and the size of the influencer marketing market is expected to reach approximately 7 trillion won. In particular, in the recent influencer marketing market, ‘micro-influencers’ who have a small number of followers but have many loyal followers are attracting attention. It is estimated that there are over 20 million social media users in Korea with more than 100 followers. Hyundai Card and Marketit actively reflected this trend and designed the Hyundai Card car in play.

The influencer Hyundai Card is characterized by the fact that influencers with more than 100 followers on the social media ‘Instagram’ post jobs related to affiliated stores and receive cashback benefits.

Hyundai Inflecar Card members purchase items with the Hyundai Inflcar Card at over 100 affiliated stores of the ‘INFLCA’ application, such as Amorepacific, CJ CGV, and Park Hyatt Seoul, and share them on Instagram with photos to get cash back Cash provided back up to 100% of the payment amount depending on the number of affiliates and followers.

Points accumulation benefits are also provided when using affiliated stores other than Inplecar affiliates. Hyundai Inflecar Card members can accumulate 10% of the amount used as M points when paying in delivery apps, convenience stores, public transport, taxis, and telecom rates. Interest-free installments for up to 3 months are also available at all affiliated stores.

You can apply for a Hyundai Inplaycar Card by downloading the Inplaycar app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and registering as a member, and the annual fee is 10,000 won.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Card and Marketit plan to continuously strengthen influencer marketing, starting with the launch of Hyundai Card, a car in play. First of all, it plans to expand the number of Inplaycar affiliates to 1,000 within this year, and plans to add blogs, YouTube, and TikTok from major portals to social media channels that can be linked to Inplaycar. By combining Hyundai Card’s branding capabilities with Marketit’s performance marketing capabilities, the company plans active collaborations in the areas of branding and content.
