KIA outfielder Choi Hyung-woo (38), who recently gave birth to a daughter, donated 100 million won to help underprivileged children.

On the 16th, Choi Hyung-woo donated 100 million won to the international relief NGO ‘Global Share’, asking for it to be used for children and adolescents from vulnerable social groups who are in the blind spot of welfare. Hyungwoo Choi’s donations will be used for food and daily necessities support, education expenses, and medical expenses for child and adolescent victims of abuse and orphanages.

Choi Hyung-woo said, “With the blessings of many people, a beautiful daughter was born healthy. With the birth of the first (son) in 2019, I began to take an interest in children growing up in difficult circumstances, and my heart grew bigger with the birth of my daughter a while ago.” “I want to continue to help children in need,” he said.

Hyungwoo Choi donated 200 million won to the youth baseball fund in 2017, and last year, he has been steadily carrying out sharing activities, such as donating 100 million won to help the socially vulnerable.

Every year, we donate baseball equipment and development funds to our alma mater, Jinbuk Elementary School and Jeonju, and we have also continued talent donation activities such as meeting youth baseball players in person and giving ‘one-point lessons’.
