Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Rinku Singh has said that he is ready to play at the highest level in the near future. In the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Rinku Singh was at the forefront of the young players along with Yashaswi Jaiswal and Tilak Verma.
Rinku is the highest run-getter for Kolkata this season with 474 runs, finishing ninth in the Orange Cap competition. Rinku Singh is one of the best options in the team’s finisher role as India begin to push forward with a young team in the run-up to the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Rinku said in an interview to News 18.
“I am ready to play for India, absolutely ready. But I don’t think too much of it, and if it’s my destiny, I’ll have it. I never thought I would hit those five sixes before. I never thought about getting selected for the Indian team. I have a regular routine that I follow every day. Go to the gym and train hard. If it’s my destiny, I’ll play for India.”
He continued:
“The day I play for India, I will definitely invite my parents to watch me play for the country. Mummy and daddy have never seen me play in a stadium, not even in the IPL. So I want them to come and watch it on the day I play for India,” said the star.
In the league match against Gujarat, there was a great performance from the player’s side.
