An Australian TV host lost 800 million won for an exclusive interview without listening to the world-famous singer Adele’s new album properly.

On the 22nd (local time), British daily The Guardian and American CNN reported that Matt Doran, host of ‘Weekend Sunrise’ on Australian Channel 7, had an exclusive interview with British singer-songwriter Adele, and then asked Sony Music, a record agency, to use the interview video. said to have been rejected.

This is because it was revealed during the interview that Doran went to the interview without listening to Adele’s new album ’30’.

According to reports, Doran went to London, England earlier this month to conduct an exclusive interview with Adele.

This interview was part of an A$1 million contract signed by Channel 7 with Sony Music, and was Adele’s only interview with an Australian media outlet.

After arriving in London at the time, he posted a selfie he took with the crew on Instagram, raising expectations, saying, “This will be quite special.”

However, during the interview, when Adele asked Doran, “What do you think of my new album,” Doran replied, “I have only heard one pre-released song.”

Adele’s new album ’30’ is the first full-length album released in six years since the 3rd studio album ’25’ released in 2015.

Adele is writing the titles of her regular albums, starting with her album ’19’ in 2008 and ’21’ in 2011, based on her age at the time of recording.

The only song Doran has ever heard is ‘Easy on Me’, which was pre-released on the 15th of last month.

When Doran interviewed Adele, a new album had not been released, but Sony Music had delivered the album sound to Doran via email.

The interview continued, but Sony Music later demanded that Channel 7 not air the interview video.

In an interview with Australian media, Doran apologized for ruining the interview, saying it was “my mistake and not deliberately ignored”.

Doran said, “I didn’t know that I had received an email containing the album sound in advance until I sat down for an interview with Adele. It was the most important email I missed in my life.”

“The interview went well,” he said. The interview lasted for 29 minutes, which was longer than the originally scheduled 20 minutes,” he explained.

“Adele was very funny and charming, generous, honest and profound,” he praised.

There were also reports that Doran was suspended for two weeks after the interview was canceled, but he explained that it was not true.

The selfie photo taken after Doran arrived in London continues to be teased by netizens until recently, such as “Have you not heard Adele’s new album?” and “Photo taken a few minutes before the disaster.”
