A Tantric prince meets the fairy Neely on his way to Ilavannur monastery. He then tries to invoke Neely. Tantrikumaran accepts Neeli as his wife, who begs him to let her go free. This story was used by Save the Date. The presentation is in the form of a grandmother telling a story to her grandson.
The scenes of Yakshi and Tantrikumaran were shot at Ammachi Palace and the area at Kuttikkanam in Idukki district. Other scenes were filmed during the reign of the regime. The shoot was over in a day.
