I hate being an accountant, she “pretends to go to work every day” without telling her parents to start a business… Become the owner of a 1.3 billion company | International | CTWANT

When children grow up, their parents always look forward to them and expect them to be successful. This is the case for Jane Lu, a Chinese-Australian woman. After she gets out of society, she goes to work in an accounting firm with her parents’ expectations, but this is not what she wants. Yes, she secretly started a business without telling her parents. Although she has experienced several setbacks, she eventually survived. She is currently the owner of a fashion company with a market value of US$47 million (about NT$1.3 billion).

According to the New York Post, Jane’s parents immigrated to Australia from China when she was 8 years old and worked as cleaners in Sydney. At the same time, she also hoped that her daughter could work in a well-known accounting firm when she grew up. If she wanted to, she decided to quit her job and start her own business. After she started her business, she would take the bus with her mother every day to “pretend to go to work”.

Jane recalled that passage in the past and said: “I put on my suit every day and took the bus to town with my mother. I took my empty laptop bag with me. At that time, I was always suspicious of my decision, but there was no turning back. NS.”

In 2010, Jane listened to a friend’s suggestion to sell clothes quickly. At that time, she quit her job, maxed out her credit card to buy inventory, and hid all her clothes in a trash bag, but soon after, her partner gave up. Although the business is up, Jane is a little surprised, but she decides to change the direction of her business and switch to low-risk online shopping.

Although the company “Showpo” founded by Jane started slowly, a few months later she decided to use the power of Facebook to launch an event. The fans skyrocketed from 3,000 to 20,000 in one month, and expanded its business in 2012. All the stocks that were originally kept at home were moved to the warehouse, and when the parents learned that their daughter had succeeded in starting a business, their initial reaction was also quite surprised.

And now, “Showpo” created by Jane has become a well-known fashion company. It has 1.8 million followers on IG and 1.3 million on Facebook. Its market value has reached 47 million US dollars. It is considered a very successful one. A self-made female entrepreneur in Australia.
