[스포탈코리아] Mauricio Pochettino wants to take over Manchester United manager

The Daily Mail reported on the 21st (local time) that “Pochettino is not happy at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He is ready to answer the Manchester United call.”

Manchester United recently sacked manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after losing 1-4 to Watford, and temporarily replaced head coach Michael Carrick as manager. After the news of Solskjaer’s sacking, several replacements were discussed.

Zinedine Zidane, Eric Ten Haach and Brandon Rogers are likely to become Manchester United’s next manager, and Pochettino, who previously led Tottenham Hotspur, was also mentioned. The Daily Mail reports that Pochettino is preparing to leave PSG after Solskjaer was sacked.

Pochettino is currently not happy at PSG and his family still lives in London. In addition, the relationship with PSG’s key players such as Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe is difficult. “United may not appoint a new manager until this summer, but Pochettino wants to leave PSG right now,” the report said.

Pochettino was previously nominated as a potential Manchester United manager when Jose Mourinho was sacked from United. Pochettino’s contract with PSG runs until June 2022.
