A 4-0 win over England in the Ashes puts Australia at the top of the Test rankings. India, meanwhile, dropped to third after losing the series 2-1 after taking a 1-0 lead in the series against South Africa. New Zealand are second with a draw in the Test series against Bangladesh.
Australia regained the top spot with 119 rating points. New Zealand is in second place with 117 rating points and India is in third place with 116 rating points. The rating points difference between the top three is three points, while fourth – placed England have only 101 rating points.
Despite winning the series against India, South Africa are fifth with 99 rating points. Before the series against South Africa, India were at the top of the Test rankings. India’s next Test series will be against Sri Lanka, who are ranked seventh in February.
