Thodupuzha: The water level in Idukki dam has reached 2371.52. When the water level rises one more time, a blue alert will be declared.
Meanwhile in Mullaperiyar (Mullapperiyar Dam) The water level remains at 136.50. Tamil Nadu is carrying more water to reduce the water level.

Idukki Dam (Idukki Dam) If the water level reaches 2372.58 feet as per the current rule, the first alert is to issue a blue alert.
Now when it reaches 2380.50 feet, a red alert should be issued. Then with the permission of the District Collector, the shutters should be raised and the water released.

According to KSEB, there is no need to release water as per the current situation. KSEB is not trying to control the water level by completing the power generation at Moolamattom. Therefore, the water level is less likely to rise.
