Opposition leaders have strongly accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of violating the Kovid rules. The old adage ‘merchants of death’ is also being used by the opposition in cyberspace. Expatriates also responded. Along with this, Veena S. Nair, who is also a UDF candidate, is raising an interesting question.
‘Imagine that I had Kovid symptoms on April 4. Imagine that I am campaigning on April 4. Imagine that on April 6, people voted from the queue. Imagine for a second you were transposed into the karmic driven world of Earl. Won’t you smash my house, comrades? ‘ Veena asks.
The allegation that the CM had violated Kovid’s guidelines came after hospital officials said the CM had been suffering from symptoms since the 4th of this month. After the fourth day, the Chief Minister attended public meetings and came to vote with the crowd.
The Chief Minister, who was on the contact list after family members were affected by the Kovid, conducted an inspection on the 8th of this month. He was admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital on the same day. However, on closer examination, the doctors found that there were four symptoms this month.
The protocol states that patients with symptoms should be tested for disease again after ten days. Ten days after the CM was diagnosed with symptoms on the 4th of this month, he was re-examined today. He was discharged from the hospital due to the negative. The CM, who showed signs of illness at four, had attended several public functions over the four days leading up to the test. It is alleged that he waited till eight to be tested despite showing symptoms.
