Neighbors Thattummal Linesh and Kozhithattil Rahul, who saw the accident and jumped into the river to rescue someone, are still in constant shock. As he was getting ready to go to work at 7.30 am, he heard a thud like a thunderbolt falling on the veranda and saw a fire burning from the electricity pole. The lorry, which was speeding behind, smashed the bridge and overturned into the river.
