Islamabad: Former captain Imran Khan wished success for Pakistan who will face England in the final Twenty20 World Cup cricket match. Pakistan won the World Cup in 1992 under Imran’s captaincy. Pakistan team members are trying to repeat the historic victory in Melbourne. Babar Azam is expected to repeat what Imran did for his team that day.
“The same message I gave to our team in the World Cup final in 1992, I gave the same message to the Pakistan team today.
Enjoy the rare fortune of playing in a World Cup final…never fear. Imran’s message was that if you are willing to take risks and take advantage of your opponents’ mistakes, success is certain. Play aggressively. The nation is praying for your success,” Imran tweeted.
My message to the Pak cricket team today is the same that I gave to our team in the World Cup Final 1992. First: enjoy the day as one rarely gets to play in the World Cup final and don’t get be amazed by it. Secondly: you will win if you are ready to take risks and can exchange for mistakes from opponents;
