Ildong Pharmaceutical (CEO Yoon Woong-seop) announced on the 28th that it is holding a separate meeting with officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Health who visited Korea to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Korea-Indonesia diplomatic relations and discuss business exchanges.
The meeting was attended by officials from both sides, including Indonesian Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Vice Minister Ronaldus Mujur, and Ildong Pharmaceutical Chief Operating Officer (COO) Seo Jin-shik.
Currently, Ildong Pharmaceutical conducts business in Indonesia related to its finished medicines and raw materials.
Ildong Pharmaceutical said it met with officials from the Indonesian health authorities and discussed issues on which both sides could cooperate in the medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare fields.
In particular, it was explained that they shared views on strategies for entering the Indonesian market and commercialization plans for raw materials and products using probiotics as well as pharmaceuticals, including complex drugs for chronic diseases owned by Ildong Pharmaceutical.
In addition, along with Ildong Pharmaceutical’s new drug research and development status and strategy, major pipelines such as type 2 diabetes treatment, gastric acid-related gastric treatment, and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) treatment were introduced.
An official from Ildong Pharmaceutical said, “Indonesia is a country with the 4th largest population in the world and an important center for the Southeast Asian economy, with great marketability and potential.”
