Illegal Hartal populist front; The High Court took up the case on its own initiative Kerala | Deshabhimani

Kochi> The artal called by the Popular Front was illegal and the High Court took suo motu proceedings. A contempt of court case will be filed against those who issued the hartal. The court ordered that immediate steps should be taken to stop the violence and prevent the destruction of public property. The hartal can only be held after giving 7 days notice.

The case will be considered on 29. The court said that lightning hartal is contempt of court and security should be provided for public transport. The hartal is protesting against the nationwide raids by NIA and ED on popular front offices and houses of leaders and the arrests of several people.
