Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, and the National Energy Administration jointly issued a notice to deploy new energy vehicles to the countryside in 2022. While encouraging local governments to introduce more support policies, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has clearly accelerated a series of measures such as improving the network of charging and swapping facilities, so that new energy vehicles can go to the countryside more smoothly.

Automobile is a pillar industry of the national economy, and it is also the focus of boosting industry and promoting consumption. In 2021, my country’s new energy vehicle sales will complete 3.521 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.6 times, ranking first in the world for seven consecutive years. Despite the impact of multiple factors such as the epidemic, my country’s new energy vehicle industry has overcome difficulties and moved forward under pressure. From January to May this year, production and sales still increased by 1.1 times year-on-year, and the market penetration rate was 21.0%. The launch of this year’s new energy vehicles to the countryside activities will further promote the incubation of the new energy vehicle market from multiple dimensions and guide the deep sinking of the new energy vehicle market.
When new energy vehicles go to the countryside, charging facilities must also follow. It is very important to improve the charging environment in rural areas. Promote the construction of “village-to-village” and “town-to-town” charging piles that combine DC fast charging and AC slow charging in community and village parking spaces, and do a good job in the construction and operation of charging stations… State Grid Jiande City Power Supply Company formed in Jiande The city’s rural “3 km” charging station service circle is currently planning to provide green power for charging piles through photovoltaic power generation and energy storage equipment.
Shaoxing, Zhejiang has launched the “every village” project of public charging piles; in Sichuan, Hunan and other places, the construction, operation and maintenance of charging piles has been accelerated… The layout of rural charging networks has been accelerated, and various places are actively taking action.

It is also important to speed up the construction of power battery recycling service outlets. The reporter learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that pilot power battery recycling and utilization has been carried out in 17 regions and China Tower Company. As of the end of December 2021, 173 relevant enterprises have set up 10,127 recycling service outlets across the country. According to Tianyancha data, there are currently 38,500 companies related to power battery recycling in my country.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that it will speed up the introduction of a number of national standards and industry standards for power battery recycling, and will carry out pilot acceptance of power battery recycling, and select and promote a number of typical models and corporate case experience.
When new energy vehicles go to the countryside, the after-sales service system must also keep up. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that it encourages enterprises participating in the activities of going to the countryside to develop more reliable, advanced and applicable models, increase the incentives for activities, and strengthen the guarantee of after-sales operation and maintenance services.
“At the same time, we will study and clarify policies such as the continuation of tax incentives for the purchase of new energy vehicles as soon as possible, and start the pilot city of comprehensive electrification of vehicles in the public sector, so as to promote the development of the industry to a new level.” Xin Guobin, deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said.
