In Lomé, the “Africa Investment Days” at the heart of a 2-day reflection – Togotimes

Act 2 of the “Africa Investment Days” opened in the Togolese capital. The participants in this brainstorming meeting come from several countries including Togo. Started Thursday, this meeting on investment in Africa for project leaders and investors is an initiative of the Association for the Promotion of Capital Investment in Africa (ACIP) and the law firm Toble & Associates.

Focused on the theme “Investing in Africa: How to combine profitability and sustainability?” », the meeting brings together many investors, bankers, project leaders, professional service providers, representatives of insurance companies and the public sector. It is a forum that allows project leaders and investors to meet. It is an initiative of the association for the promotion of private equity in Africa (ACIP) and the law firm Toble & Associés.

A reflection must be carried out in order to find solutions to allow companies on one side and on the other the entire value chain to understand the current issues in terms of financing.

The Africa Investment Days aims to work towards the advent of a private equity industry in Africa. This forum intends to act as an intermediary between the capital needs of companies on the continent and investors. It also aims to create a bridge between French-speaking and English-speaking Africa.

“We will have to discuss issues related to fintech financing, agricultural financing models etc… The idea is that participants can make proposals or can inform the public about alternatives to traditional financing,” said indicated Me Boris Toble (co-president of the organizing committee).

During the two days, explains Ms. Symenouh of the organizing committee, the discussions will revolve around the challenges faced by companies in terms of financing and raising funds on the markets. Participants will address sub-themes such as “Infrastructure, Green Bonds and Financing for Ecological Transition in Africa”; “Taxation, a lever for growth and investment incentive”; “Dual investment models for agricultural and energy sovereignty? “. Without forgetting “Fintech and the financing of digital transformation in Africa”.
