In Saudi Arabia, domestic workers can now change their sponsorship online. The change of sponsorship is possible through the sponsor’s Abshir account. Since March, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development has simplified the transfer procedures for foreign workers working in Saudi Arabia through the Khiva online portal.
But this benefit was not allowed to domestic workers. The ministry has now provided an opportunity to change the sponsorship of domestic workers in a similar manner to the Kiva portal. The new arrangement will bring relief to many foreigners, including house drivers.
