According to the overseas network of the People’s Daily, the official newspaper of the Communist Party of China on the 29th, the Shanghai quarantine authorities announced that there were 5487 mainland confirmed cases and 9545 asymptomatic cases in Shanghai as of 00:00 that day. So far, the number of confirmed cases in Shanghai has been in the range of 1,000 to 2,000. Since three people were reported on the 17th, there have been 12 consecutive days of COVID-19 deaths in Shanghai.
