New Delhi: World Championship bronze medalist Lakshya Sen advanced to the final of the Indian Open Badminton. Olympian P.V. Sindhu could not reach the final.

The 20-year-old Lakshya defeated NGC Yong of Malaysia in the semi-finals. Score: 19-21, 21-16, 21-12. Singapore’s Lone Keane will face Yew in today’s final.

Sindhu was defeated by Supanida Kathothong of Thailand. Score: 14-21, 21-13, 10-21. Youngster Akarshi Kashyap also missed the final. Busanan defeated Akarshi 26-24, 21-9.
