Lee Jae-myung, permanent adviser of the Democratic Party, will face off against People’s Strength regional party association chairman Yoon Hyeong-seon in the Incheon Gyeyang by-election.
Two presidential candidates, Lee Jae-myung and Ahn Cheol-soo, have expressed their views on the establishment of a new government.

Democratic Party adviser Jae-myung Lee toured Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, where he declared his candidacy for the National Assembly by-election, and focused on establishing local roots.

During the presidential election, Lee, who had been in fierce competition with President Yoon Seok-yeol, urged unification and said that we should compete well.

“I hope it becomes a ‘competition to do well’ in which we compete to see who will make a better life for the people, rather than attack and conflict with each other.”
It seems to be a strategy to differentiate itself from the new government by putting forward the worker theory.
People’s Power has confirmed Yoon Hyung-seon, a former doctor who has been active in the region, as a candidate to confront adviser Lee Jae-myung.

“Based on the strategic judgment that ‘it would be good for this fight’, it would be much better to select a candidate that is closely related to the local area under our internal strategic review…”
Ahn Cheol-soo, chairman of the People’s Power Transition Committee, emphasized that many of his roles, such as the decision to unify candidates, are incorporated in the inauguration of the new government.

“I threw myself into my own way to lead the victory in the Seoul mayor election, and then, through the unification of candidates, I even achieved a change of government…”
Chairman Ahn, who was confirmed as a candidate for the People’s Power Seongnam Bundangap by-election, entered into a full-fledged contest for votes with Democratic Party candidate Kim Byung-gwan.
