Increase in TPR; Kovid to 22,040 today; 117 deaths

Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 22,040 people in the state today. The worst affected districts are Malappuram 3645, Thrissur 2921, Kozhikode 2406, Ernakulam 2373, Palakkad 2139, Kollam 1547, Alappuzha 1240, Kannur 1142, Thiruvananthapuram 1119, Kottayam 1077, Kasargod 685, Wayanad 676, Pathanamthitta 536 and Idukki 534.

During the last 24 hours, 1,63,376 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 13.49. Routine sample, Sentinel sample, CBNAT, Trunat, POCT. PCR, RT A total of 2,80,75,527 samples have been tested so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.

Today, 117 deaths have been attributed to Kovid-19. This brings the total death toll to 17,328.
Today, 67 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 20,901 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 996 is not clear. Malappuram 3585, Thrissur 2907, Kozhikode 2383, Ernakulam 2310, Palakkad 1476, Kollam 1539, Alappuzha 1219, Kannur 1043, Thiruvananthapuram 1031, Kottayam 1036, Kasargod 667, Wayanad 665, Pathanamthitta 520 and Idukki 520 were affected by the disease.

76 health workers were affected by the disease. Palakkad 20, Kannur 14, Kasaragod 11, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur 6 each, Kollam, Ernakulam 4 each, Wayanad 3, Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Idukki 2 each, Malappuram and Kozhikode 1 each.

A total of 20,046 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1154, Kollam 2867, Pathanamthitta 447, Alappuzha 944, Kottayam 949, Idukki 384, Ernakulam 1888, Thrissur 2605, Palakkad 1636, Malappuram 2677, Kozhikode 2386, Wayanad 387, Kannur 964 and Kasargod 758 were cured. With this, 1,77,924 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. So far 32,97,834 people have been released from Kovid.

There are currently 4,81,157 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 4,51,799 are under home / institutional quarantine and 29,358 in hospitals. 2607 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
