In a single room without knowing the outside world

Sajitha, 18, left home in February 2010 to live with Rahman. Rahman was unknowingly staying in a room in the house with Sajitha, who had gone down to stay with Rahman, who was doing electrical work and painting. Desiring to live independently, the couple left home in March 2021 and moved to a rented house near Vithanassery.

During the police investigation into Rahman’s disappearance, his brother saw Rahman in Nemmara and informed the police. Subsequent investigations revealed the 10-year history of love life to the outside world.

The progressive art and literature group led by the Kollengode Area Committee has been preparing for the divorce of the couple, who have been together for the past seven months. The registration fee was paid by the Kollengode Regional Committee of the Progressive Art and Literature Society. One month after the application was filed, the marriage was registered and a certificate was issued.
