India lead by 283 runs in the second innings of the warm-up match ahead of the England series. India declared their innings at 192 for 3 in the second innings. Ravindra Jadeja was the top scorer for India with 51 runs. Mayank Agarwal (47), Hanuma Vihari (41) and Cheteshwar Pujara (38) were the other Indian scorers. In the second innings, skipper Rohit Sharma and Lokesh Rahul, who scored a century in the first innings, went down to bat and Jadeja scored 75 in the first innings of the match. India’s top scorer was wicketkeeper – batsman Lokesh Rahul with 101 runs. India were bowled out for 220 in the first innings by County XI for 311 runs. Haseeb Hameed was the only batsman to score 112 runs for the County XI. For India, Umesh Yadav took three wickets and Mohammad Siraj two.

Meanwhile, Indian all-rounder Washington Sunder has been ruled out of the Test series due to injury during a training match. Indian batsman Mohammad Siraj’s bouncer has been ruled out of the World XI’s World Cup qualifier against India. Along with Washington, pacer Avesh Khan was also ruled out of the series due to injury.
