India’s Mumbai court approves the request of the Indian Drug Control Agency. Aryan Khan, 23, the son of Bollywood film superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has been arrested for three days in a drug case.
The move came after police raided a boat off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday night before drugs were found. and Aryan Khan was also arrested.
Spokesperson for famous actor Shah Rukh Khan has not commented on this matter.
Attorneys for one of those arrested alongside Aryan Khan said government officials charged his client and others with drug use. But there hasn’t been any evidence to confirm it.
Aryan Khan is scheduled to appear in court again on Thursday (Oct 7).
Actors and celebrities in India have been the subject of drug investigations in the past, for example, in September 2020, the Indian Drug Control Agency opened an investigation into famous actresses. But it is unclear how far the investigation has progressed.
