Anwar Ali was banned by the All India Football Federation from playing football after he was earlier diagnosed with a rare heart disease. He fought a strong legal battle against the AIFF’s decision to ban him from football and in the end he won and was cleared to play by the AIFF. On his return, he played for Tektro Swades Limited and then joined Delhi FC. Anwar Ali, who performed brilliantly for Delhi Club in the 2021 Durand Cup, scored 4 goals in the tournament.

The star, who trained with FC Goa at the start of the 2021-22 ISL season, signed a loan deal with Goa in the January transfer window. There were earlier reports that many big Indian Super League clubs are interested in bringing Anwar Ali, who has performed brilliantly to Goa. Meanwhile, The Bridge released the information that ATK has managed to bring a Mohun Bagan player into the team. Reports are coming out that Kolkata giants have signed a long term deal with Anwar Ali.

Anwar Ali has been impressive for FC Goa this season. In 14 games for the orange flag, the player has scored one goal and assisted 2 goals.
ATK Mohun Bagan are set to sign Anwar Ali on a 4-year deal in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to reports. There are indications that the Kolkata club is spending around 10 crores for the player’s transfer and salary.
