The Air Quality Forecast Center of the National Institute for Environmental Research predicted that the concentration of fine dust would be high, especially in the western region, as the remaining fine dust accumulated yesterday (22nd) focusing on the western region and yellow dust in the afternoon.
Incheon and northern Gyeonggi will show ‘very bad’ levels of fine dust, while Seoul, southern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Gwangju, and Jeonbuk will show ‘bad’ levels of fine dust and fine dust (PM-2.5).
Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungnam-do will rise to a ‘very bad’ level in the afternoon.
In Gyeonggi and Incheon, the ‘attention’ stage of the yellow dust emergency warning was issued from 5:00 pm yesterday.
The Academy of Sciences asked for reference to the latest forecast, saying that the impact of yellow dust in Korea is very flexible depending on air currents and changes in the concentration of yellow dust that originates.
