Injury during training; Sreesanth hospitalized; Ranji season may be missed

Rajkot: Kerala cricket team member S Sreesanth has been admitted to hospital with injuries sustained during training for the Ranji Trophy match. With this, Sreesanth will miss the remaining matches of the Ranji Trophy. Sreesanth was injured during training ahead of the Ranji Trophy match against Gujarat. Sreesanth made the announcement on social media.

Sreesanth had said on social media that he was injured during the training session and had difficulty walking. For this reason, Sreesanth did not play in the match against Gujarat. Following this, Sreesanth shared a picture of himself in hospital on his Twitter account. KCA has not yet clarified whether Sreesanth will be able to play in the remaining matches.

On his return to Ranji, Sreesanth took two wickets in the first match against Meghalaya. Kerala, meanwhile, have won two consecutive Ranji Trophy matches. Kerala defeated Meghalaya in the first match and Gujarat in the second match.
