Innocube, 4 places selected for ‘1st S to B Challenge’

[의학신문·일간보사=김정일 기자] Innocube (CEO Kwon So-hyun), a bio-healthcare accelerator, has selected 4 places for the 1st S to B (Science to Business) Challenge. ‘Her S to B’ is a competition held to discover and nurture potential researchers and start-ups in the field of bio-healthcare, and was jointly hosted by Handok and Genexine.

<p>‘1st S to B Challenge’ was held mainly for potential founders and early founders with innovative technologies in the field of bio-healthcare.  The application was received between February 27th and May 10th, and after document screening and the first face-to-face evaluation, a face-to-face presentation was made at the Handok Future Complex on the 25th to select the final company.  In the evaluation for the final selection of the competition, S to B Challenge organizers Innocube, Handok, Genexine, Smilegate <a href=Investment, and Korea Investment Accelerator participated.

Startups selected for this S to B challenge include ▲Pulse in Myers (CEO Jeong Geun-young), which develops anticancer drugs using synthetic lethal intervention technology ▲DuBio, which develops disease treatments the non-alcoholic fatty liver through a deubiquitinase inhibitor development platform. (CEO Jeon Hee Jeon) ▲ DPC Biotherapeutics (CEO Jae-hyun Choi), is developing the bioPROTAC platform to overcome the limitations of PROTAC, a technology in the field of target protein degradation. Also selected was Professor Yoon-seok Huh from Keimyung University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering, who is developing a dual biosensor for measuring biomarkers of metabolic diseases.

The selected team will receive up to 500 million funds, research laboratory infrastructure including public offices and research equipment, and development mentoring through collaboration with Handok and Genexine.
