Erattupetta (Kottayam) വിദ്യാർഥ Missing student from Melampara found in Kattakada, Thiruvananthapuram. The student was found along with Jeffin Joy, 19, of Poovachal, Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday afternoon.
Both were produced in the Erattupetta court. Jeff was remanded in custody for 14 days. Kovid was transferred to the General Hospital as he was positive. The girl was released with her parents.
The girl went missing on Wednesday morning. The family had lodged a complaint with the Erattupetta police after the girl was not seen in the room. The girl left the house without picking up her mobile phone. But a search of the friend’s phone number revealed that the two were in Kattakada.
Jeffin, who reached the student’s house on Tuesday evening, went to Thiruvananthapuram in a KSRTC bus with the student on Wednesday morning. They arrived at Jeff’s sister’s home and were later apprehended by police on their way to another friend’s home.
The two were found by a team led by Pala DySP Shaju Jose and comprising SI Thomas Xavier, ASIs Anil Kumar and Eliamma Antony, women police officer Nithya Mohan and CPO Sarath Krishnadev.
