“I believe that the President’s visit this time will be an important historic opportunity in the relationship between the two countries.”

President Yoon responded by saying that we should expand and strengthen the area of cooperation between the two countries.

“I fully agree with you that we need to strengthen strategic cooperation in the four key areas of nuclear power, energy, corporate investment and defence.”

Thirteen memorandums of understanding were signed in front of the two presidents, including nuclear power stations and the defense industry.

The idea is to invest oil money in the technology of Korean companies so that the United Arab Emirates can secure a foothold in the post-oil era and Korea expands exports.

However, it has not yet been decided how much and by when the 30 billion dollars will be invested, and in which areas, the homework remains to draw up a specific and practical investment plan.

Meanwhile, President Yoon and his wife visited the ARK unit, a symbol of security cooperation between the two countries, to encourage troops and to inform the world of Korea’s strong defense capability and to stop the enemy’s will to provocation.

“The security of our brothers is our security. The enemy of the United Arab Emirates, the most threatening country, is Iran, and our enemy is North Korea.”

Today, on the third day of the trip, we will hold a business forum with Korean and UAE businessmen to continue discussing economic cooperation.
