IPL 2021 | Code of Conduct Violated; BCCI issues warning to Dinesh Karthik

Kolkata Knight Riders wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has been warned for violating the Indian Premier League code of conduct. In the second qualifier, Karthik was found guilty of a Level 1 offense under Section 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct against Delhi.

But the IPL has not clarified what crime Karthik committed. Karthik was stunned when he was knocked out during the match against Delhi. Indications are that this may be the reason for the action. The action was taken by the match referee.

Level 1 offense 2.2 is related to the misuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match. According to the IPL statement, Karthik has pleaded guilty.

Karthik returned with a three-ball knock against Delhi. Rabada was bowling the ball. Delhi lost six wickets for seven runs, including Karthik’s, but managed to overcome the target.

Virat Kohli wins ICC T20 World Cup Best Moment award

India captain Virat Kohli has won the award for the best moment in the history of the T20 World Cup. Kohli’s unbeaten 82 – run innings in the 2016 World Cup Super 10 against Australia qualified for the award.

The ICC voted this innings as the best moment in T20 World Cup history. Kohli’s innings received 68 per cent of the vote and Ben Stokes’ final over against England received 32 per cent in the final over when Carlos Brathwaite secured the Windies victory with four sixes in a row.

In the Super 10 match of the 2016 T20 World Cup, India fell to 49 for three, trailing Australia by 160 runs. But India won by 6 wickets on the strength of Kohli. Kohli was unbeaten on 82 off 51 balls.

Kohli’s innings consisted of nine fours and two sixes. He completed his half-century off 39 balls. After completing their half-century, India needed 45 off 21 balls to win the match. But Kohli, who scored 19 in the next over off James Faulkner, put India close to victory.

Kohli secured India’s victory with four fours against Nathan Coulternail in the 19th over. The win over Australia in the group stage sealed India’s semi-final berth.
