IPL 2021 Final | Super Captains face to face; Dhoni’s Chennai and Morgan’s Kolkata to thrill the finals

It is known today who will be the crown prince of the fourteenth season of IPL 2021. MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings and Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders will meet in the final of the season. The two teams with a history of winning IPL titles are set to win another one today. Kolkata, who have not touched any of the IPL finals so far, will be thrilled to face Chennai in the final for the ninth time. Kolkata have won the IPL twice and Chennai three times. The match will start at 7.30 pm at the Dubai International Stadium.

Chennai, who have been performing well since the start of the season, were all set to reach the IPL final. But Kolkata’s entry into the final was full of twists and turns. Kolkata, who finished last in the points table after a string of defeats in the first quarter in India, made a spectacular comeback in the second quarter in the UAE. They beat defending champions Mumbai Indians by a run rate to reach the play – offs and beat Bangalore in the eliminator and finally Delhi in a thrilling qualifier to advance to the final.

Today’s final fight is also considered as a fight between two super captains. The Chennai Super Kings are led by Sakshal MS Dhoni and Kolkata are led by England’s World Cup winner Owen Morgan. It is unpredictable who will win the final match of the 14th season when the two, who are good at devising the best tactics on the field, come face to face.

The situation in Dhoni’s Chennai and Morgan’s Kolkata is almost the same. Both teams are characterized by excellent openers and an unstable midfield. For Chennai, openers Rituraj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis are the leading run-scorers in the tournament. Together they have scored 1150 runs for Chennai this season. Kolkata’s Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer, on the other hand, put on 747 runs for the second wicket.

There are talented players in the midfield but no one has been able to stabilize yet. Ravindra Jajeja’s performance as a finisher gives Chennai a slight edge. Kolkata, on the other hand, are missing the injured Andre Russell. Kolkata’s headache is who will be left out if Russell regains fitness in today’s crucial final. Varun Chakraborty, Sunil Narine and Shakib Al Hasan will not be trapped in the spin trio.
