IPL 2022 | ‘Head’ in Chennai; Chennai to retain Dhoni for three years; Rahul Lucknow team captain, report

It has been reported that next season’s matches of the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022) will start on April 2. According to a report released by Cricket Bus, Chennai will be the venue for the inaugural match. Earlier, BCCI secretary Jay Shah had confirmed that the new season of the IPL would be held in India.

This time, ten teams are making changes in the IPL. Two new teams are coming to the IPL from Ahmedabad and Lucknow. With the addition of two new teams, the total number of teams will increase to ten. With this, the teams are trying to retain and expel the players. Currently, IPL teams can retain a maximum of four players.

According to a new report, Chennai Super Kings will retain skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni). The player will be retained for three years. Ravindra Jadeja and Ruthuraj Gaikwad may also be retained. Moin Ali or Sam Karno will continue to be the foreign star. According to team management sources, CSK does not intend to drop Dwayne Bravo. Bravo will be auctioned off.

KL Rahul, who captained the Punjab Kings last season, had earlier announced that he would be leaving the team for the new season. Rahul will captain one of the new teams in Ahmedabad and Lucknow. According to reports, Rahul will lead the Lucknow team. The Lucknow team is owned by Sanjeev Goenka.
