IPL 2023 Auction : According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to hold the auction process for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by mid-December this year. According to the report, it was decided in an informal meeting between the BCCI, the IPL Governing Committee and the franchises that the auction would be held by December 16. BCCI will decide on mini-auction procedures this time as it is mega sale last time. The location of the auction has not yet been decided. The star auction of IPL 2022 was held in Bengaluru.
And the cricket media Cricbuzz reports that the IPL 2022 season will start in the last week of March. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly told the teams that this time the matches will be organized in the pre-Covid-19 away match format, according to the cricket media in their report. A team can spend a maximum of Rs 95 crore in the auction. But if you want to continue in the season, you have to keep 5 crores in your purse. That means, according to the calculation, a team can spend only 90 crores in the auction. Also if the franchises sell their player to the auction or to other teams then the team coffers can be increased accordingly.
