Iqama, re-entry and visitor visas for Saudi expatriates extended by two months Iqama, re-entry and visitor visas for Saudi expatriates have been extended for another two months

Jeddah: The Saudi Passport Authority has announced that workers in countries barred from entering Saudi Arabia due to the Kovid crisis will voluntarily renew their Iqama, re-entry and visitor visas until January 31, 2022. Earlier, the deadline for documents was extended to November 30 by order of Saudi King Salman. This is now being extended for another two months.

The documents of expatriates who are unable to return to Saudi Arabia from the countries where the travel ban has been announced will be updated. Saudi expatriates in these countries will be able to renew their expired Iqama, exit re – entry visas, and visas for those who are currently waiting to come to Saudi Arabia on a visitor’s visa and whose visa has now expired.

However, it is not clear whether Indian expatriates will be able to avail this benefit as direct entry into Saudi Arabia from India will be allowed from December 1. Currently, Saudi Arabia bans Turkey, Ethiopia, Afghanistan and Lebanon, as well as 14 other African countries where the new omicron virus has been detected.
