Italian Serie A professional football defender SSC Napoli Kim Min-jae (26) was recognized as the team’s best player in the first half of this season.
Italian sports daily 〈Corriere dello Sport (CDS)〉 evaluated the performance of Napoli players during the first half of the 2022-2023 season on the 25th (Korea time) and published the score.
Napoli finished the first half of the 2022-2023 season with 16 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss (50 points), leading the way. It is close to winning the championship for the first time in 30 years by expanding second place AC Milan (38 points) by 12 points. This is the first time in the history of Serie A that the difference in points between the 1st place and the 2nd place at the end of the first half is 12 points.
CDS gave Kim Min-jae the highest rating of 9.5 among Napoli players. Kim Min-jae received a score of 9.5 along with team striker Victor Osimen (24), Hvita Kvarachhelia (21), and midfielder Stanislav Lovtka (28).
Following Kim Min-jae, Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo (29), defender Mario Hui (31), and central midfielder Andre Franck Jambo Anguisa (27) tied for second place with 8.5 points. Top goalkeeper Alex Meret (25) scored 8 points, followed by Kim Min-jae and top central defender Amir Rahmani (28) with 7.5 points.
CDS also gave generous evaluations to manager Luciano Spalletti and general manager Cristiano Giuntoli, who lifted Napoli to Serie A title contenders. CDS gave them the highest score of 9.5, saying, “It is natural to give the highest score to those who took part in building great Naples, like Spalletti and Giuntoli.”
