The rescue mission through Kabul airport in Afghanistan is reported to be becoming more difficult. The United States and Germany have warned their citizens not to travel to the airport without official notice. The warning comes as IS and Al Qaeda pose a security threat in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the continuing thousands of crowds at the airport are a setback to the rapid rescue mission of countries including the US. About 14,000 people are reported to be waiting at and around the airport.

About 17,000 people have been released so far. Meanwhile, senior Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar arrived in Kabul to activate the formation of the government. Talks are also underway to move the country’s capital from Kabul to Kandahar, the Taliban’s stronghold.
