Ishan Kishan’s journey is over; Replace this brutal hard hitter; Report

Opener Ishan Kishan is likely to be dropped for the third and final T20I of New Zealand’s tour of India.

Leading sports media outlet Crictoday reports that India are set to drop the underperforming Ishan Kishan as the series winner in Gujarat could clinch the series.

Reports indicate that Prithvi Shah, who was not part of the first two matches of the series, will replace Ishan Kishan in the Indian team.

Shah, who has performed well in domestic cricket, is also adept at scoring runs for the team. Shaw is a perfect batsman for the T20 format who plays aggressively from the very first ball that hits the crease.

Shah also adopts the same style of play as Indian legend Virender Sehwag, who tries to dominate the bowler from the first ball. For this reason, Shah is also called the next Virender Sehwag.

Ishan Kishan scored four runs off five balls in the first match of the series at Ranchi, India’s lucky ground. India lost the match by 21 runs.

Ishan scored 19 runs off 32 balls in the second match of the series at Ekane Sports City, Lucknow.

A win is a must for India in the third match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat. Not only the series win, India also need to win the third T20I to maintain the winning streak of not being defeated at home for a long time.
