Mumbai: Bollywood star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt came to watch the Kerala Blasters vs Mumbai City FC match. Both arrived at the Mumbai Football Arena and expressed their support for Mumbai City FC. Ranbir Kapoor is also the co-owner of Mumbai City FC. In the match, Mumbai City defeated Kerala Blasters by four goals without any opposition.
Ranbir Kapoor owns 18 percent of the Mumbai-based club. Filmmaker Bimal Parekh owns a 17 percent stake in the team. The remaining 65 percent is owned by Citigroup, an Arab sports company. Citigroup also owns Manchester City, New York City FC and Melbourne City FC.

Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters lost the match by four uncontested goals. All four goals were scored in the first 20 minutes of the game. Former Blasters Perera Diaz scored two goals for Mumbai. This is the fourth defeat for Kerala Blasters in the season.
Forward Des Buckingham rushed into the Blasters box as the game began. It has to be said that by the time the players arrived on the field, the hosts had not started but finished their goal kicking. Besides Diaz, Greg Stewart and Bipin Singh scored goals.
