ISL: Hyderabad beat Bangalore by Ogbache goal

Madgaon: In the ISL (ISL 2021-2022), Hyderabad FC defeated Bengaluru FC to move up to third place in the points table with their second win. Hyderabad won by an unbeaten margin. Bartholomew Ogbeche scored the winning goal for Hyderabad in the seventh minute.

Hyderabad dominated the first half, leading from the start in passing and passing. In the first few minutes, Hyderabad put pressure on the Bengaluru defense and soon got the result. In the seventh minute, Akash Mishra’s chance was saved by Ogbeche to put Hyderabad ahead.

In the 31st minute, Hyderabad got a golden opportunity to take the lead but Javier Severo could not take advantage of the opportunity given only by the goalkeeper. Bengaluru struggled for the equalizer but Hyderabad did not give up. Aashiq Kuruni’s early in the second half gave Bengaluru the lead, but Clayton Silva’s shot was deflected by Hyderabad goalkeeper Kattimani.

Through Aashiq, Bengaluru continued to put pressure on the Hyderabad defense but the only goal was not scored. The fading of Clayton Silva and captain Sunil Chhetri in the forward line shattered Bangalore’s hopes. With the win, Hyderabad moved up to the third position while with the defeat, Bengaluru slipped to the ninth position.
